Default Help me with my tranny case!!!

Allright after taking my cracked tranny case off the bellhousing I come to find that the spring/ball bearing (if there is one) has been lost. Does anyone have any pics where this might go when putting the case back on? Whats the thread that guy has like 50 pics of the tranny case removal and the LSD install?

Sounds like you are talking about the shift detents, if that is the case , they go on after you put the case on. There should be holes in the case where the shift rods/forks would be.

I wonder why I never saw these when taking the case off??? Ive looked all down in the gears with a magnet stick and didnt find them laying loose anywhere. Im just skeptical about putting it back together and they be loose in the tranny and screw some stuff up

You are usually supposed to take the detents out before you take the case off, there should be a bolt wit a hex or torx bit pattern that holds the detents into the case.

they are regular bolts. 2 of them. only difference is that they are hollow to allow the spring to sit down in them.
