ther should be two blue plugs underneath your glove box, both being female connectors. There should be one with two outlets and one with three outlets.
The one with two is the one you need.
With your ignition on stick a paper clip in the plug to connect the circuit. ( stick one end of the paper clip in one side and the other end in the other side)
you should notice your CEL(check engine light) flashing a sequence, this is your code
there will be a long flash at first, there can be anywhere from 1 to 4 of thesethat is your first number
after the long flash(es) there will be a short flash that will be anywhere from 1 to 9 flashes, this will be your second number
wait and let the code go again, there can be more than one, if it does the same sequence over it is just the one code
the first number will equal a multiple of 10, so 1=10 2=20 3=30 and 4=40.
the second number will equal a single digit, so 1=1 2=2 and so on
these numbers together will equal your code number
this website has further explanations and will tell you the problem for the code
when you find out what it is come nback and we will try to diagnos your problem if you want http://www.eastcoastdelsol.com/columns/view.php?id=9
