Default f22a1/wf22b head?

Just wondering has anyone out there tried this swap before, and if so how. I was going to try, but need some insite before I get started. I guess the main problem being the vaccuum arrangment.

when you say f22b are you talking about the f22b dohc non vtec head? cause thats the parts you are referring to i assume and it should be a direct bolt on with a new timing belt.

could be, but that would be like calling a civic an accord. the f22b1, f22b2 and f22b are all different engines.

from what I've gathered, you would be better off just buying a used f22b1. Many online retailers have them. I've seen one for $750 free shipping. They also promised only 30-40k on the engine, so it would last longer than a converted engine. figure out what kind of f22b you want to have though. the b1 is the most powerful (150-160hp) and teh b2 has like 140 i think...not sure about the b2, but ive seen both of those numbers for the b1. $750 and an engine that will stand up to boost considerably well is well worth it to me, but if you really wanna do the conversion, more power to you. I'd still like to see how it's done for fun and profit.

Sorry, but thats not the correct number for the B1 or B2. Check out AccordinglyDone for HP and Torque figures. Here a link to the F series motors.
