Anyone With TYC projector Headlights on there Accord?
Ok so this is my second post on this but i'd like some comments on some owners of these projectors? I worried about crappy light output, projectors seem to do good in close range? TYC is a good name I know, but anyone with them please let me know? Thanks? BTW they have new ones for the 94-97 accord. not just the 98+ now!
I got them on my 02 accord, they are sweet, the light is bright, and they look cool.
the quality of the light is good, but when I first got them they would fog up constantly, So I just drilled a hole in the back for the condensation to escape, and ever since then, no problems, good lights..

The projectors I assume are H3, would you say that they perform comparable to the stock headlamps? Do you get the distance really is what i wanna find out? also was there horizontal adjustments on the projector?

Yes there is a horizontal adjustment and they go just as far as stock for sure, the bulbs are actually H1, both high beam and projectors, so its a little harder to find wicked aftermarket bulbs for them, I am actually looking for yellows, if you know of a good bulb let me know, Ive gone through about 5 different bulb companies and they all burn out within a month, I used to have PIAAs H3 yellow, and they were cool, but they dont make em in H1..
but otherwise ive had them for almost a year and never had any problems..

i've got them on my 97. The triple beam with little halo ring in the middle sorta like the bemmers have. Anyway, I think they are crap. They look cool and all but at night it is very dim. Not bright at all. Also h3 bulbs are usually the fog lams bulbs so if i try to get a higher than 55watt bulbs they burn out too quickly... like once a month. So I wouldnt recommned them, but again.... thats just me
Ive had 4 different types of headlights (3 were projectors) on my car, and these are deffinetly the closest brightness to stock..

Sounds Good, I think I will purchase them, just now have to decide whether to get chrome, or the black housing. Thanks.

I got a Dark Green 2 door Accord, with the black Tyc Taillights, and will likely get the JDM clear marker with the single bulb. No bumper signals installed, but have a set of black ones sitting around. Oh and 20% tints. Dont know how to post pics but want too
yeah, I dont either, im trying to figure it out too, its just not working for me, what ive been told it to go to http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com , or http://www.randomcrap.net ,
neither of them work for me, there supposed to send you a link, mine dont work,
as for the lights, get black housing

That sounds really ricey. I'd ditch the taillights. And there is no 6th gen JDM accord unless you count the Euro R so youre just getting 'styled' lights that arent of good quality...

actually if u read his sig, hes got a 95 so they did have the SiR to get lights from, and in my opinion the SiR lights are sick, im gonna get them if i can afford them

I drive a 5th Gen, Im not a big JDM enthusiast, but I do respect there style. My TYC tails cost me $40. IMO TYC is better than all other aftermarket light makers out there, such as APC Junk, or others.
Since some others feel that TYC aint that great what brand company would you go with besides JDM lets say?

My bad, yes DO look for JDM lights. You're 5th gen. You can get some real JDM headlights and sidemarkers etc. Clear is not really JDM. JDM is amber...
<---Jumped on JDM bandwagon somewhat.

This is why im just getting beamer HIDs on my headlights....worrying about the brightness n everythin, with HIDs no worrys if their going to match oem brightness
When drilling out a hole for the lights.... can i drill in the front, or does it have to be in the back?
Thanks everyone for the info, help, and opinions.
going with the black Tyc projectors.. Have Faith in quality
HIDs later on, 8k maybe? I read somewhere that the lower kelvin rated color the actuall better light output then the higher 12k lets say. Anyone agree or know for sure??

Do you mean to let the condensation out?
if so then do it in the back bottom of the housing where you cant see it and so that it could drip out..

Bringing up a old thread, but anyone have any actual experience with these.
I just picked up a set, and was wondering about the install.
Has alot of wiring and D1S HIDs.
