Default NEW STREET TIRE MPH RECORD

tonight we ran boostedb20vtec's car at cecil ga for a small import event held. to the best of our knowledge the current record is 11.02@137 for street tires fwd. on boostedb20vtec's first solid runs since he had his car up and running he made a pass of 11.5 @ 140 mph. e.t. wise he hasnt beat the record but on mph he did. later on he ran a 11.4 @ 139. afterwards we switched to the slicks and best there was 11.1 or 11.2 (i believe) @ 135. its was good to see Jim Hucks there also, running great as always. we do have other HT'ers that will post vids pretty soon but right now, considering he doesnt have much seat time whats so ever, i say that he posted some great e.t.'s
-- great job.

We will have videos posted shortly of Vics car, Stevens Hatch, my 99si which ok. No traction , i roasted my dragradials in first , second and some of third. I need bigger tires and or slicks.. My best time of the night was a 12.3 at 125, i kept running out of gear and had to shift into 5th before the 1/4 was out,

Congrats to steven for the win, and VIC for Smoking a Motorcycle, and posting a SICK MPH on dragradials

all the cars listed on my website fall under the category of street cars. full metal body, all glass, no wheelie bars, etc.......does your car have a fiberglass front end?? either way, 140mph on drag radials is moving.

Here's the run down of the run on BF Goodrich G-force 235/60/15:

1st run:
R/T- .298
60'- 2.132
330- 5.497
1/8- 7.904
mph- 107.09
1000- 9.901
1/4-11.537
mph-140.40

2nd run:
R/T- .532
60'- 2.073
330- 5.335
1/8- 7.755
mph- 107.38
1000- 9.771
1/4- 11.421
mph- 139.40

I could not believe I was going that fast. I have not been on the track for many years and it's first time the car have time to really get some runs. Special Thanks to all my friends that came and help me there at the track: 1point5crx, Mike brown, James, Mike Burn, Kevin, and fipracing-com and his friend for the videos. I hope to get those vid posted here. Thanks again guys!

Nice going man! You have a nice combo there. 140mph is killer! Its not often you see a car so clean that is fast like that. I love how I don't see a single sticker. Show us 10's

no, they are not allowed on my list. no official sanctioning body allows them.

Congrats on the times, man thats movin'!!

On a side note, not wanting to jack your thread.
Anyone know how the 235/60/15's fit under stock fenders? Im assuming with the one piece front it is a little wider than stock.

Heck yeah it did!! I recorded almost every run and I set the AVC-R on 1.80 kg/cm or 25 psi and then I minus 15% in 1st gear and +20,+30+40 "2nd,3rd,4th". I was getting 1st gear around 14 psi, 2nd 21psi, 3rd 25 psi and 4th was not getting full boost. It was dropping to 21psi. I'm not sure if that's due to my wastegate spring being so low. I"m using the 7 psi spring. I think I'm going to get a stiffer spring and see if it holds boost on top. Thanks for the complement guys. It has been a painstaking ordeal trying to build this car. I'm still have few things to do on the interior so it'll look better. Here's a few pics of the engine bay.

Defi gauges BF series. I love these gauges, I can record every run up to 3 minutes.

Damn Vik SAAWEEEEET! So much for our trip to Valdosta. We over heated on the way up. Busted the IACV coolant hose and that wasthe end of it!

Congrats on your times! We were over here yelling our ***'s off when we talked to you on the phone after the 140 mph trap. Everyone was excited. I called Steve M right away. He was at the Floridar Georgia game screaming his *** off and was yelling even more after I told him your trap.

Congrats again! North Florida reprisenting HUGE!

LoL on the block, I did not use the high heat engine enamel when I painted it. I know it wont last. Oh well, I'll paint it again later w/ high heat paint.
