Default 3rd gen (86-89) swap?

Are there any quick and easy swaps for a 97 lx? I've got the opportunity to buy one for a song w/ a cracked head, but I want to know if there is any performance potential for this car.

Thanks,

Rich

I thought I saw someone on the board here had a B-series motor of some sort in their 3rd gen at one time or another. I think it was a B16. That would mean probably the other B18 motors would fit as well. Sounds like a tricky job, however.

common swap is b20, but they make mount kits to dump in an h22

You mean the old B20/B21 from the 3g Lude?
Who makes mounts for a 3g Accord H22 hybrid? That would be a pretty silly car.

I'm curious as well, since I've got a line on an H23 actually.

Hey 4doorH22,

I don't have an H22 but I do have a B16 swap! Do you still think it's a silly car? Why don't you check out my site and please tell me what you think about it. If you still think it's a silly car maybe i'll consider selling it!

He meant silly as in fast, newbie . Dont come in here guns-a-blazin about your b16 accord with a 60 shot. Big deal. Thats the wrong motor to use in anything but a 1st gen CRX. Got any timeslips?

The only timeslip I have is a 14.5 slip about 8 months ago. I should be in the 13's now though.

Sorry if i sounded sort of like "i'm the ****" type a person! I just got a little carried away with what I thought he ment

Actually, a B16 isn't bad for a car like that. My mother's '89 Accord has got to weigh less than or just about what my somewhat overweight (w/B16) Si coupe weighs. And who can argue with a 14.5? Starting with the 4th gen, I'd consider nothing less than an H22, however.
