Default new clutch slight grinds?

i just recently put in a Custom South Bend CLutch, 6 puck with kevlar/graphite. 1500lb pressure plate new slave cylinder, new throwout and new pilot. everything torqe'd to spec. Now when im shifting i can feel the gears but it doesnt really grind. is this normal on a new clutch?

I'm guessing that your car will also "creep" when it's stopped, and the clutch pedal is in, right? Since your slave, pilot and throwout bearings are all new, you may just need to adjust the travel on the clutch pedal. It may not be pushing the piston in the slave cylinder far enough to disengage the clutch.

I've never done a Honda clutch, but this was a pretty common part of the change when I was working on Miatas.

Thats what I wanna know. And the other reply about adjusting the clutch pedal is correct also.

When i installed my clutch i dident tighten down a bolt on the inside of my tranny all the way, So the pressure plate hit it on ever rotation making a very similer noise. It eventually went away and the bolt head got worn away.
