I read this link. I really need help on this, just ran off the road and slammed an imbankment. These cars just seem "quirky" in high speed turns. She just seems to plow into high speed turns and becomes hard to pull out safely, the fwd + PS just gets uncontrollable.

Recommendations I am seeing from searching the archives are agx/sportline shocks/springs and a set of 15" rims. I am looking at apprx $1200 for this but don't want to spend that much on this car if it would only help a little. The car is stock now and I would just assume save the cash for a 240sx if this isn't going to help a lot?

I made a sharp turn at about 35 mph. She should have been able to straighten up, but just started sliding sideways up on 2 wheels. It might have been more like 40mph. The car is a bone stock 93 EX. Not starting a battle here but my old jetta would have made the turn ('course I couldn't afford all the parts that would break on it.)

the Honda has a better drivetrain, is much easier to work on, and parts are much more available and affordeable than a Jetta.

you drive an 11 year old econo box civic. What the hell were you expecting? It's not an NSX or anything.

Okay, you should get springs, or coilovers.
Get a decent set of tires.
Get a rear and or front sway bar.
Good luck.

no more german junk for me, parts cost too much and the Jettas suck to work on compared to a Civic. Plus a can turbo the civic for $1500 vs $3500 for a jetta. Mabey I'll just turn this civic into a straight runner and forget the high speed turns
