How many 97 ITRs sold in the United States ?
I think I now have concrete evidence that no more then 318 Integra Type Rs were sold in the US market for the 1997 model year. I know you have seen the letter from Acura of USA that states this but I also have evidence that only 318 VIN#s were issued to USA 97 ITRs and some of those were never used as far as the car being publically registered , sold, or inspected.

You can see the registry goes up to the lower 500s. Nearly all of the first ~318/320/340/whatever the amount is '97s were sent to the US. The remaining ~150 were sent to Canada. Granted, there is only one '97 listed over #500, but I just don't see the need to find exact production numbers. I'm interested also, but won't lose sleep or create mad posts about it.
