Have question about 88 CRX suspension
I recently bought new monroe struts and adjustable coilover springs for my 88 CRX. When I installed them in the car, the top of the strut piston rod was sticking out above where it was suppossed to rest inside the engine compartment. My friend says that I need to have the top of the strut machined so that the threads go further down the piston rod, but unless I can figure out what to do, I think I might just go back to stock springs. Any suggestions about what to do would be appreciated. Thanks.
You have not assembled the springs/shocks correctly You left out a washer. Look at the intructions for the assembly of the shock/spring.
