bad clutch

Default bad clutch


before i took it apart i was told by a honda sevice center my 3rd gear was gone
i took the trany apart and looked at the gears and all the gears have square edeges on them so the r fine and it goes into every.would this make it feel like my 3rd gear is gone?

no i don't think so.. those just make shifting smoother.

o yea once i crack the trany open i brought it back to the sevive center and they check the tranny out and said it was fine..

obsesive launching, and do you have splash shield missing or something because it's not usuall for the clutch to be colored that way.

this is out of my grandmamas car
no nothing it missing. it may be the stock clutch
96 civic ex with 70k

slipping the clutch too much maybe, ocasionally stalling. The spring is there do dampen the shifts so maybe she lets go off the clutch to fast when shifting. If the tranny is good just replace the clutch and see how it will behave.

it could be a whole bunch of different thing.
defect can cause that too....it may have slowly work its way in then pops out like that.
