quick question about zc mid-shaft

quick question about zc mid-shaft
okay.. i am postin this for my homie..
he got a 88 ZC tranny and he is not sure if 89~91 mid-shaft will work with 88 tranny. any idea?
i personally think they will all work but i own a EG so no info on EF's.
i tried searching but couldn't get any info. even from archives.
