I may be picking up a whole '90 SI engine/tranny swap for $200. Will it drop right into my '91 HF or will have to replace some stuff? Assume I get engine, tranny, & ecu. The SI engine has no distributor or engine harness. What about axels?

 

your gonna need new hubs to use the si axles....I did see someone on partstrader w/ hybrid axles for a si tranny and hf hubs... otherwise, it drops in...

 

But if I do an EX/SI brake swap too then I'll be ok right?

the ex brakes are bigger than teh si and ull need the axles from teh ex or si

 

will the hf axles work with the SI tranny?

Is this deal worth it? Figure it is pretty much a direct swap for 40 hp more.

 

definitely worth it...hf axles wont work w/ the si tranny... I'll try to find that ad on thepartstrader...

the car already needs the axles replaced so I'm not concerned about that.
