should i sell my car and buy a hb?
i stumbled across this sight recently and you guys all seem really helpfull so i thought id ask what you guys think, I dun have any pics of my car yet, but i will post them, basically when i was buying my first car i was looking for a 92-95 civic hb as many people do, However for some mysterious reason i couldnt find one for a decent price ( its no wonder that i can find like 3 a day now for 3000 or under ) any ways i ended up getting a 96 civic ex with a edelbrock turbo kit, what do you guys think i should do?

Umm.....no.
It depends on what you want out of your car. What You want in general. If you like the look, go for it. If your gonna get it because everyone else has it...umm...be original. lol How much PSI are you running, do you have bigger injectore, fuel pump,...what kind of FMU are you using all together? vafc, safc? lol on stock internals...(D series) you should be able to get 200-210hp. I dont know how long it will take for your motor to take a ****....but atleast you had fun with boost right?
If you have the money, and time...part your turbo kit out on here, and the motor...im sure you can get about 500 for the d16y8 long block, part out the a/c, starter, dizzy,tranny....and use that plus what your ballin *** has towards a b18. (i prefer them for their higher torque, LS motors are great with boost, but so are most B series)
you could be different ...try mix and match. throw a b20 block, with a b16 head. blah blah. ****....im stupid, wtf am i talking about.
Ok, here is what would be best. grab any body and get you a puuurty K20A motor. oooh man.... (starts day dreaming)

The EK is stiffer longer and wider and for all intensive purposes is a much better car. I would get a compression check and tuneup before anything else
Then go into the appearance foruma dn do a search for EK to see what's availiable

I'm going to disagree with everyone here and stick with what you have. BOOST = FUN. save up a little money and get some low compression pistons (suzuki vitara's), some nice strong rods, sleeve the bitch and turn the boost up.. You'll be quicker than any stock b-series.

And to the thread starter, do what you want. If you want a hatch get it, if you don't, don't.
