crx hf trany. to si trany ???? help me???

i have a 88 crx hf and the trany has gone out i want to put a crx si trany ini it for better gearing. will the si trany built up and work fine? i evently want to put a d16y8 on the si trany. help me!!!?????

yes it will work but get a clutch for the same year tranny youre using..
