What is it?

There is a bar at the back of the hatch area, it is a stock piece. It bolts up at the rear wall of the near the floor. What is this?

That's where you fasten your seltbelt harnesses to...just kidding. It is there to strengthen the hatch...increase body rigidity.

it just helps your car handle better, by increasing rigidity, blah,blah.etc
