Default Stolen ITR Engines

I was browsing though the hybrid section of honda-tech and noticed they have a poll of where they got there engines from. 104 people said they got theres from sofast.com. Another guy posted that sofast.com sold him 4 stolen engines!

Just thought it was interesting...

I hate thieves.

did I ever tell you that I hate thieves. I HATE thieves.

My first GSR was a 1995 model. 2 months in my driveway and one night (GSR parked in my driveway) at 2 am I hear a car door closing in front of our house. It sounded kinda close so I go to my bedroom window and look down at the driveway. I see my GSR roll backwards, then when it hit the road the lights went on and the car was driven off....after recovering from the shock and in complete denial , I ran to dial 911. They found my GSR 1 week later in the Woodbine area of Toronto, stripped to the shell and standing on blocks. The police just shrugged their shoulders when they arrived after the 911 call.

I really really hate thieves. I hope they get what's coming around to them eventually sooner than later.

oh and one more thing...my insurance company? entirely not helpful. The car was 2 mo. old and they tried to drastically undervalue it for the replacement cost...

Please check your policy if you have a car <2 yr old. There should be a clause regarding how they value the car if stolen. Make sure you get the full replacement cost without any off the lot depreciation.

You guys might as well benefit from the things I learned through that horrible night.

Invest in a kill mechanism that shuts the engine off 2 min. after someone has jumpstarted the car by any mechanism. That seems to work best and get a tracking service if there is one in your area. We have Boomerang and it works amazingly well. I'd place a Boomerang tracker on the engine.

i actaully dealt with Jerome be4, and contact him about stuff from time to time.. he is a legit guy, and has always been helpful.. alot of times the full story of what happened is pasted around and is often misconstrued.. i hate to see a bad rep on any person, just because of rumors.
