The other day i was just driving on the highway and my red SRS light came on, took it to the dealership yesterday to hook it up to the ecu to see what exactly the problem was and told me that the opd sensor is bad.....mother ***** told me it was $400 to fix, i was like WTF?!? so i told him ive got extended warranty and asked if that should cover it, the ***** told me its not covered cuz i have fabric seats, what kinda bullshit is that.....i understand warranty not being able to cover brake pads or somethin **** like that, parts that are wear and tear from the user but its not like i can wear and tear the fukin sensor for the damn airbag.....do ya think there is anyway i can contest this and get them to fix this **** without having to dish out $400?????

 

You can try and contact honda but depending on your milage and if you've done ALL you service at the dealer the probably won't do ****. If your good at fixing things and taking stuff apart then you can do it with out a problem. the opds sensor is the accutal seat back cushion. You just take the cover off and replace the whole cushon under neith it. The sensro is integraded into the cushon. Hope this helps ya out.

Both our '98 and '03 Accords have a warranty on seatbelts & supplementary restraints for the LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. Don't look at your extended warranty, look at the factory standard warranties.
