Hi, i am just wondering how could you tell by looking at the tranny that is a B16 tranny, i am asking this because i just bought a B16a tranny and the guy that sold it to me it was kind of weird so can any one tell me how can you tell if is a B16 tranny or a Ls, Gsr tranny?

What does the little gold sticker read on the front side of the tranny? Sometiems even then, its still hard to determine...and hopefully ur sticker is still there.

 

on the side of the tranny there should be a code bar for it... i forgot which thread that had this same question... i will post it when i find it again...
