I have seen almost every honda with the hood sticking straight up in the air, like custom or something? I wokr on my car mostly at night with a light from the roof of my house and i found if the hood can be propped up like that it will let way more light in to work on it.

How do you guys get it like that?

On my car there's just a secondary spot for the prop, lower down. not such a good idea if your frontend is lifted at all, though.

 

I assume you have a stock hood? well if you look where the actual hinge is, there is a hole. Stick your hood prop in that hole (not the normal one obviously)

i get scared when it gets really windy.

 

i had a friend with a crx that got totalled and he had a prop rod which my car didnt come with plus it had pads on the prop itself so i tried it out and it puts my hood almost perpendicular with my car so give a crx one a try if you want could help
