Sorry For the "noob" question but, I recently gutted my catalytic converter on my 94 accord when i put on my full tenabe exhaust. THe problem is that my converter rattles now. What I would like to know is...if I eliminate my heat sheild and rap the converter with heat tape would it be ok and stop the ratteling??? or would that fhk something up?

You could do the cheap fix of putting a couple hose clamps around the heat shield to tighten it down.

 

Most likely somthings loose inside the converted and trapped. Take it off get the heat shield welded solid and clean out teh interanls very well until the rattling is gone.
