throwing as CEL 43 fuel whats up?????
hello all what is causeign my ls vtec with p28 chipped to thropw a CEL code 43 at me i happens some time when womping on it or even just cruzzing , could it be the fact that i only have a VX fuel pump, could a Adujustible FPR help it out by turning it up. thanks and hopefully some one know whats up
might not be the fuel pump. have you checked what your actual fuel pressure is? Sticky injectors, clogged fuel filter or bad fpr could throw that code too.
i also have this exact problem. my car is running way rich (lots of black smoke) horrible gas mileage and a strong annoying odor from the exhaust! I don't know what to do with this. I replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs were fouled with black carbon so I replaced those too. I was told it could be a bad o2 sensor but I'm not sure that's accurate since that would usually throw a code 41. Can anyone help with some ideas? Sorry I did not want to jack your thread!

I had a bad/lazy 02 sensor before and it never threw a code.
