this is out here in vancouver bc only. i'm hearing from witnesses and posts on local message boards that subaru has donated impreza wrx's to our local police force. whether or not it's for show i'm not sure. i've not seen them myself but i'm sure hoping it's not in my rearview mirror

this is only the latest of donations... we have jaguars, audis... and i think a crv. don't ask.

what next? lamborghini murcielago?

around my house.. there are 2 Camaro Z28 Cop cars and both drivers are ********. They will pull u for doing 41 in a 40mph!!!

 

So long as they stay south of N.Vancouver....I'm safe still.....
I juss have to contend with those sneaky suburban, explorer, Venture minivan....and a shitload of God knows whatelse they have put on MY highway....hahaha.....

I have personaly seen it. Apparently the car works out of N Van. He revs on ricers at lights and then pulls them over for racing when they bite .

Yeah out here in good ole NC the sheriffs are crazy, the sheriff of my county drives a Camaro cop car, no not just an SS but an SS with a C5 engine tuned by Richard Childress racing(NASAR uggh) puts out a healthy 650hp at the rollers. Needless to say, I've only seen 1 police chase, and it wasnt with this car

 

I was the one who saw the WRX "police interceptor" in Vancouver. Actually the car was at the local Subaru dealership in Langley. I was driving by the dealership when I saw what looked to be a fully decal'd WRX. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to turn around for a better look.

The car was basically a stock white WRX sedan, with RCMP decals and a roof mounted red/blue strobe light bar. A yellow strobe bar in the back window, strobes in the tail lights, and of course, the obligatory auto tranny. Overall it was a pretty neat looking car. I was able to check it out while they were taking pics, so all the lights were on and it is menacing. The guy mentioned that it's for community service use, but also mentioned not to be surprised to see it on the roads as a patrol vehicle.

I now keep the digital camera in my glove box. If I see it again, I'll be sure to take a pic.

 

Are these WRXs actually gonna be used in active duty? I know they have a lot of cars that are just for publicity and stuff like that. ie.. the VW bettle, ML320, Jag..

Yeah we have automatic here in North America. It will attract more buyers who can't drive MT.

Gosh those wheels on the Z06 are pretty ugly...
