Default Competition Seat Bolted Directly to Floor?

I have a pair of Sparco Evo2 seats on their way so I'm starting to think about installing them and what that all entails. I have been doing some reading and know that there is a bunch of hassles of the base and getting something custom fabricated, etc.

What are your thoughts on just bolting the seat directly to the floor using the Sparco side mounts? Is this possible (and safe)? Has anybody done this? The car is not daily driven and never driven by anybody else - the seat will never need to move. I'm tall (6'3") and the extra headroom and lower seating position would be welcome.

as long as j00 use washers (on both sides) that are large enough j00'll be fine...and make sure to check what j00're drilling through...there are some fuel/brake lines running down there...and use the right grade hardware

Rather than do that (floor pan ain't flat on a JZA80) I had a custom bracket for the stock seat bolts created and then I mounted the Evo2 to that bracket.

I'm a big fan of the setup. The Evo2 is a great set for big guys like you and me (6'6" 220lbs).

there were a set of these for sale in the RR-autoX forum. I dunno if they sold, or not, at least if you could bet pictures you would have a better idea on what it would take.

although looking at my mount for my seat. it doesn't seem to hard to fab up. But who knows i haven't ever tried
