Default 4cyl Engine Restorer gave me over 100psi in compression!

2,500 miles ago I poured in a bottle of the 4cylinder Engine Restorer because my compression was around [I don't remember the EXACT numbers] 160, 40, 45, 160 with all of the cylinders losing pressure at a decent rate. I triple checked these readings so I know it was not a test error. I thought it was worth a shot..the can was only a few bucks and I've seen a few before/after charts [from the manufacturer] that looked promising. At that time I was getting a steady 36mpg with mostly highway driving.

I decided to check my compression today since it's my first day off in a while.

170, 165, 165, and 170 psi are my new numbers and all 4 cylinders are keeping pressure MUCH better than before I used Engine Restore. I'm now averaging around 40mpg with the same style of driving.

I used the exact same compression gauge and did the test in the exact same manner.

I realize this is by no means a permanent fix, it's just a band-aid etc but for my $5 I could not be happier

*note that I used the 4cyl formula.

The restore actually has small peices of copper that bond with the rings to help tem seal better, watch out tho because it also gives you a greather chance of spinning a bearing
