I have a 92 Civic DX hatch witha B20 Vtec , boosted , under the hood . I'm trying to find the right spring rate for the front & rear suspension. HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !!!!!!!!!! . Right now I have tokiko illumina race coilovers but the car doesn't handle as well as I'd like.

I'd go with something in the 475f/550r range.

this would be a good setup or at least use the integra spring rates.

How would I go about buying that setup, would I just call up the skunk2 and order it or would a distributor know what i'm talking about if i call them to order. Also would it be possible to use a different brand springs with my tokico illumina shocks?

yeah just tell whoever you're buying the springs from you want custom spring rates. they'll know what you mean. also you can use different brand of springs with the illuminas. I know I've changed through three different brand of springs on my illuminas.

Yeah too bad the Illuminas can only dampen up to 400lbs. No one even asked him what his application is. That high of spring rates wont grip on the street. The rear rate you recommended is way too high when you should have a more neutral balance and use an adjustable rear bar to change the handling balance of the car for different conditions.

Oversteer is just as much of a detriment to traction as understeer.

I'm using the neuspeed race spring with bilstein shocks. I know a few other people using that set up and it seems like a pretty good balance between comfortable daily driving and good for the track.

Back to the drawing board. Which coil over kit can i purchase that will give me the spring rate needed to make this car handle . As for my current suspension setup , Tokico illumina race coilovers,Suspension tech front sway bar , greddy upper tie bar front , Polly bushing kit , 16" rims .
