Default Should I Purchase?Opinion's Please

Well i was the one that just asked if a 96-99 tranny on a civic will work for a 95 civic. Someone replyed yes. My question is will this one work and do you think its a good buy?

Yes, make sure its the D16Y8 EX model.

EDIT: And no one flame him, he already said he couldn't speak very good English.

No. That's a transmission off of a D16y7, which is geared considerably longer than the EX transmission.

Lol Thank you Bauley well as it says its a d16y7? should i ask him if it will fit or if its the ex model?

Your not wasting time. Your questions is what the site is here for. That will work on your car. If you are looking for the shorter gearing (and in turn better acceleration) of the EX transmission, this isn't for you. This is the transmission off of a DX/LX, and the first and second gears are VERY long.

EDIT: You can bolt any transmisson from any D series motor from 1992-2000. I would strongly recommend looking for an EX/SI from 92-95 or an EX from 96-00, as they are the shortest.

Yes it will. I wouldn't pay 100 bucks for a DX tranny though, so IMHO, no it's not a good deal. I'd take the second link he supplied over that one any day.
