im gonna swap out my horrible LS tranny for either a B16 or GSR tranny. im lean n towards the B16 tranny cuz i want lower ET's in the 1/4 mile. can someone tell me how much faster the b16 tranny will be compared to the GSR tranny

its like night and day...def DEF go with the b16

 

the gsr is the balance between performance/streetability. the b16 is basically just for performance. imo, b16 with gsr 5th = perfect.

I just swapped out my ls with a jdm b16 tranny for my 94 gsr. And let me tell you, I felt a big difference in acceleration and it pulls harder. The rpms also don't drop as low as the ls after shifting to the next gear. I'd say go with a b16 tranny.

 

Owning both an Si and GSR. There's a difference in the trannies. The Si has lower gearing and I found that I was in a higher gear at lower speeds than a GSR.

 

Ever go to the track and see a GSR, it's part of the way down the track before it gets out of 1st, b16 tranny just bangs through gears with the quikness.
