Are there any online parts websites (like slhondaparts.com here) that allow you to cross check part numbers?

why don't you swap out that motor for a bigger one, because that one is really too small. You could prolly get a d16 out prolly for like $600 over there, or just get ZC shipped overthere.

i live in israel.

honda sold only just this (1.4 iS) models here.
so its illegal here to swap a 1.4L car to a 1.6L.

Do they actually check it? Or is there a posibility to give somebody something into hand. I used to live in europe and you could buy pretty much anything.

D14A4 engine looks pretty much the same as D16Y7 engine... everything is the same only the distributor is somewhat different...

And this guy who kills D16 with 1.4 90HP Civic... well, only if you have F14 tomcat on back that will give you kinda better AIR FLOW...

1.4iS has long gears and lacks power on high rpm's while D16Y7 despite the fact it's weak has some power over 6000 rpm and has better top speed in every gear... so you can just dream about killing D16 without FI help or $5000 worth of blot ons...

D16Y7 is weak engine but compared to D14A4, it's a space shuttle...

Golf is known for being too slow... for christs sake you can kill Golf GTi 16V 150 HP with a D15Z6 (1.5 VTEC) 115 HP...

Peugeot is not a car you can race with... And tiburon, well, I don't know about that car... but Hyundai's are not very fast either...

Remember that you CANNOT go around telling stories how you "killed" a stronger Honda cos THAT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN...

Killing D16 with a D14 is the same like killing B18C5 with B16A2... impossible...

D14, like D16Y7 is not meant to be a race car... it is meant to be an econobox with some fun in daily driving... nothing else...

But the fact is that with Honda, you can beat other cars with same horsepower with little to none problems...

Now that we came straight about KILL stories, I have to state that this kind of talk is getting nowhere and it is not allowed on this forum... so just stick to the subject "OIL PAN INTERCHANGEABLE"...

What? 206s?i can garentee you cant kill any of those. i race with 3 before and those french WRC rockets are FAST..i have I/H/E upgrades on a D16Y7 and i can barely keep up with S-16 model, and the RC model just blow me away..

BTW..B16As can actually kill some B18CR/5s depends on the mods. but stock to stock, pretty much yea
