Default VAFC on a k20a3?

How well would a v-afc controller work with a k20a3(civic si), since the vtec in it...kind of ...isnt vtec. Does anyone have vafc on their k20a3?
Also...are there any upgraded cams available for the k20a3. And no...im not gonna do a head swap.
Basically what i wanna know...what basic upgrades will make a k20a3 better? I read about a ep doing high 14s with i/h/e....thats a pretty good gain over stock.

VAFC will not work.

No cams for the A3 as of yet... Skunk2 is still developing them.

Turbocharging the A3 is the best thing if you want a kick out of it.

Like Kal said, its useless.

Unless you go FI in the motor, you might as well swap. NA ain't too hot with the A3.

The VAFC II is not useless. You won't see amazing gains but you can tune your air/fuel. If you plan on swapping the motor you'll have it for when you get real vtec.

quite right. VAFC is not useless. but it's not optimal solution either. it properly allows you to tune A/F but lacks other capabilties.

V-AFC is useless. It's a waste of extra money, go with a AFC why do you need to lower the VTEC engagement point when it doesn't exist. If you have a intake, race header and exhaust you may want a AFC to tune the A/F ratio because a RH will lean the motor out too much.

never said it's supposed to have more features. i'm just saying it doesn't have other capabilities like tuning cam angle and ignition.
