Default Fog or Driving Lights

Ok I recently had to drive in really heavy fog a few times and now am thinking I might want some foglights. I see driving and fog lights and they look the same do either help in fog? I wouldn't mind also having them to help light up the road when I'm not in fog. I was thinking put them so I can turn just them on and leave the headlights off in fog since they are lower and I think they will be better. I don't want to spend the money for OEM ones and I don't really like them that much either. I really would like to spend $50 but maybe $100. Anyone know if these are any good for normal driving and fog? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-j...F1600

Oh yeah also are these legal or are they something I will get a ticket for? I don't want any tickets. Will they be blue or just white? I would prefer white but haven't seen these lit up and like how the look when not lit.

those look like they would shoot out a bright white light......from my personal experience the brighter the light the harder it is to see through fog cus the lights reflects off of it....but thats just me maybe im wrong

Any Ion Yellow lights. If fog is your concern; they work the best in foggy areas. If visibility is your concern; they make everything that it touches more vivid to the humans eye. Or if its just plain looks (like me) they look the freaking best! Can you picture rolling through downtown blingin with some phat ion yellow fogs; lighting up the ground yellow? PIMP!

Any links to any good ones? Are the yellow ones legal? Are the fog lights a lot better in fog than the driving lights? Are the Eurolites not good in fog or are they yellow just better? I kind of think the yellow is distracting and don't like the color that much but if they are that much better and legal I might get them. I want to remain legal to have them be good in fog and wouldn't mind a little extra lighting for just normal driving.

Yellow anything is ok. Its when you go other than white or yellow that is illegal. Yellow penetrates fog better from what I hear.
