Default JDM Recaros vs. Recaro SRD

Don't the Seats that come in the JDM ITR look like Recaros with USDM ITR Seat Material on them? Like Ben Tangs? I see people putting the All Red with Black Print and the Black with White Recaros in their cars and saying they are JDM.
Are those the seats out of CTR? Someone explain please.

The Civic-R and Integra-R JDM Recaro's are the same seats; they come in either black red or yellow (or blue on the new ITR)

The basic Recaro SRD differs in various aspects, most notably the "RECARO" stitched badge is larger and the fabric is different. HTH

The size of the word "Recaro" on this link seems smaller than how it usually looks on the Recaro SRD's. Did he request that? I want the SRD's but I don't like how it screams "RECARO" in big letters.

Brand new for 2k each... or u can pick up a used pair for around 2k to 2.5k depending on how they look. Blacks are hard to get where Reds are the easiests. Don't event think about a used pair of yellow or blues. If you are lucky you can find a pair for less then 1.5k sometimes, but they are usually beat up.

If you are interested in some USDM black recaro's, I have a set for sale for $900 for the pair, with no brackets. They are in great condition. I have brackets for a Prelude, but not an Integra. Shipping extra.

Good Price...But I think the shipping from WA to IL would give me some serious *** burn.

I was stuck in this dilemma a while ago...and from what I hear, the JDM Recaros (called the SR3's) have better fabrics and arent as cramped in the thigh-bolster area. The SRDs are harder to keep clean, don't match as well, and and more cramped.

What has been explained to me is that the SRDs aren't as nice as the SR3s (different cushions too) and the Japapanse Recaro SR3s are so much money that it's about the same to get a set of JDM ITR Recaros.

my turn..

the JDM Recaros' all made of suede (at least ALL of the one's I've seen - and I've come across a lot of them). Also, when worn out from wear and tear looks like ****.
These do have a tight squeeze around the thigh area, yes..

the US style recaro's are made of canvas & cloth material, and seem to last and can handle wear and tear pretty good. I have a set of these of my own (thanks to Eddy Lin). Plus they're way more affordable and don't have such a squeeze on the thigh area as much as the JDM versions do.

If you're lookin for a set of JDM red recaro's, Dylan has a set for sale...hit me up if your interested.

Will the JDM ITR rear seats fit our USDM Integras without any modifications? I heard they don't fit, but i may be wrong.

the material on the SRD is cheaper than the material found on the jdm oem integra counterpart...cheaper enough to fade unevenly and much faster
..lol... don't park your car under the sun! Or get some nice cow skin seat covers -mooooo!

yes, JDM ITR seats will fit in A N Y 94+ integra/92-95 civic, just as long as the JDM ITR Recaro seats orginally came from a JDM ITR.

Now, If the Recaros' came from a CTR, then of course the seats will NOT bolt into an integra because the seat rails are for just that, an EK/96+ civic.

haha ooohh woops I misread your post. I didn't catch the 'rear seat' part of it! sowwy.

Yes, they will bolt on to any 94-up integra. The difference between usdm and jdm rear seats is that jdm has a cushion in the middle whereas usdm has a...cupholder?

yes those are mine. yes i paid too much for them. but i'm happy and i'm glad i got rid of my old cloth sr3. i've tried the srd before too and liked the sr3 more. what's the point of not being tight? the whole point was to have a seat the will hold you, not let you roll around like a pinball... but of course passing out from lack of circulation because it's really tight dosen't make sense either
