I got a 99 EX that sounds like a metal blender inside the tranny when i drive it. I bought a new clutch and EX tranny like 5-6 months ago and have neglected to put them on. Im going to try and throw those babys in my next 2 days off from work. My question is i have had the tranny sitting on the garage floor for a while and has collected some dust inside and where the axles go in. Id like to clean it and and lube it if necessary before i install it. Is there anything special i should use to clean the inside of it also where the axles connect? Or any other places i should put some oil or grease in? Also i have an extra flywheel thats pretty clean off another d16y8. Is it necessary to have the flywheel machined before i install it?

I have a 60 gal compressor and several sockets, is there any other things im going to need? I dont want to have to stop cause im missing something.

Get new axle seals, and a new input shaft bearing and seal.
