I recently serviced my PCV and forgot to reconnect. The massive air leak into the throttle body caused a cycling idle from high speed to low speed. Check for a vacuum leak somewhere.

good luck

stop calling **** vtec comps

no there were no usdm accord ecu's pre '94 that you can use if you want vtec to work.

if the motor is an f22b1, a 94 ecu will work if its out of an ex... there is no reason why the correct ecu for the car should be limiting your rpms to 3k.

I had the same problem when i was unable to rev past 3000 rpms. I figured out what was wrong and the result of it was a broken TPS sensor. After i got the new one in it worked fine.

was the swap aan h22 or a a vtec accord motor? did you sawp wiring harnesses? if you used the old harness which was for a non vtec motor, you have to add 2 wires. once for the vtec pressure switch, and one for the solenoid. you can tap the 2 switches right at thier wire and run them through the firewall. no need to add pins, just strip the wires long and slide them trhough the plug of the harness and plug into the ecu. dont know if that motor has a knock sensor, but my h22 does, and i had to also add a wire for that too. id get wiring diagrams for both motors and double check to see if all of the pins are the same to the ecu.
