Default Alternator amps ?

...Just had the alternator replaced in our 97 EX. It is remanufactured and seems to be charging fine but I noticed when I turn the heater / air fan on at idle the rpms drop a little bit. Is this normal or do I have an alternator thats flakey or perhaps not to specs as far as amps ?
Thx
