parts for 2001 civic 4 dr
I'm having a lot of trouble finding parts of all kinds, interior and exterior, for the sedan 2001 civic. anybody have linkage they could share to some reputable places that carry parts for my car?
what kind of parts, ebay.com has everthing.. sad thing is thr 2001 is the gayest honda on the planet.. and you have the 4 door... is it an auto. If so, just sell it bro, get an eg.
i feel your pain bro, i too own a pos 2001 sedan. i'm with everyone else, sell that bitch cause it sucks, that's what i'm doing. if you committed to the 7th gens check out 7thgencivic.com
I appreciate the feedback..but I really am new to all this and havent heard much about the 2001. Anyone care to elaborate and tell me why the 2001's suck? or point me to a thread that does elaborate on why?
it doesn't necessarily SUCK, but is not designed for performance in the way older civics were (not that any civics were really designed for performance). for the seventh gen vics, honda switched the front wishbone suspension to macphaerson double struts
these are cheaper but sacrifice handling. the new engine d17 is a ULEV engine which responds VERY POORLY to bolt ons. trust me intake, header, and exhaust are pretty much a waste of time on this car. the only way to get real power out of these cars is a turbo. there are no commercial superchargers for the d17, and probably never will be, based on jackson racing's statements. swaps are a great option for the 7th gen but the only smog legal ones will come from the civic si, rsx, or rsx-s. your looking at at least 3000 grand for the k20a3 swap, probably 5 k for the k20a2. don't get me wrong, i like the styling of this car and the interior feel, it's not all bad. but unless your a ryatch byatch who can afford a swap, or have the knowledge to piece together a turbo kit, i'd sell it. hope this helps
