Default K20A2 immobilizer......help???

Ok. I know people that know how to remove the immobilizer don't wanna give it up for fear of people stealing rsx's, but damn some1 help me out. I was planning on takin my car to Acura and having them reflash the ecu and aget a key made and blah blah. Hasport said just send your ecu to locashracing.com and have it removed. I havn't checked but I think they said it was about $150. I've got the damn thing in and ready to go and I'm already almost sick of this swap. Ive ran into so much bs and crap I just wanna get the thing runnin. If no1 wants to pm me on how to remove the immobilizer then does any1 have a schematics/diagram of the k20a2 usdm rsx ecu?

i suspect that the people that do know how do it for a business...andyou dont make it as a business telling people how to do what you do for a living.

i was under the impression that it was just a chip in the ecu that needed to be removed.

I havent found a way to disable the type S immobilizer, but havent relly tried too hard.Ive used the type R ecu and K pro type S ecu's to bypass the immobilizer function. You can have the type S ecu reflashed from the dealership to remove the immobilizer, but if you do not have paperwork they may not do it.

Any1 know for sure if the dealership will be able to reflash it and let me use the integra key? Or will they have to cut a key and use the sending unit near the ignition too? I have the reciept of sale from the junkyard with vin numbers for this purpose, but if they have to cut a key and use the sending unit I'd get charged out the *** I'm sure. I was under the impression this is what they had to do. So I posted this looking for help.

Integra's dont use immobilizer's...i havent messed with the 99-00 so they may have them..not sure.I know that the 94-98 dont.If the dealership reflashes the ecu to remove the immobilizer, the integra key will work without having to use any other part from the rsx.

thanks man. I'll call the dealership and see if they can. I figured there would be some soldering off of wires or something though to completely disable the immobilizer?????

They can completely remove the immobilizer.Just talked to a guy that works at acura. No soldering or wiring. It's just a reflash done by a computer.

reading is essential - re-read his post

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JDMotive &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Integra's dont use immobilizer's...i havent messed with the 99-00 so they may have them..not sure.I know that the 94-98 dont.If the dealership reflashes the ecu to remove the immobilizer, the integra key will work without having to use any other part from the rsx.</TD></TR></TABLE>

he clearly states he is speaking of 94-98 tegs...I had a 2000 teg GSR w/immobilizer.

as long as everything is legit (motor vin and/or paper work & ECU is legit) a dealership CAN remove the immobilizer function (from the RSX-S ECU) by means of a reflash...his local dealership probably doesn't know they can do this b/c this is a VERY UNCOMMON thing to ask when you bring your car in. I bet you if he called his dealership up - explained the case, the head tech could find out how to do it & do it for you....otherwise JDMotive is saying he can bring it to his local dealer to have it done

if you don't have a connection at the dealership I would be worried how much they would charge for this

thats more of a flip flop statement than john kerry, ive never dealt with an imobilizer before, but i have had one removed before.

What I meant was I havent found a way to bypass the immobilizer in the Type S ecu as you can with the type R ecu.You can have it completely removed by the dealership though.
Ive never dealt with a 99-01 integra,so not too sure about their immobilizer's.
People should probably read more into the post's.

well I called 2 places. It seems like they were lost from the beginning of the conversation. which kinda pissed me off cuz it wasn't that complex of a thing. Locash racing does it for 150 bucks, but they never answer their phone. I leave messages and they never return them. So I'm not gonna send it there cuz I need it back quick and I dont wanna deal with some1 that I can't talk to. I may try a few more dealerships in different city's. I'd like to send this thing somewhere though on Wed. Any 1 have any other places in mind?
