Default drag racing practice

where do u practice accelerating, if u do at all. i dont want to go to a drag strip and pull 16 sec runs just cuz i only get to do it 3-4 times w/ all the cars there.

i have an old and somewhat worn stock clutch, so it's not like it grabs hard when i let go. so i need to learn how to shift fast w/ that. any suggestions on where is a good place to practice?

College Avenue, 9:00 o'clock, Friday nights. Start at Squires, see if you can get through second gear by the time you pass the Lyric.

OF COURSE, I've done it. You'd be amazed how fast drunk people can jump out of the way... Hell, even the cops think it's funny! If you time it just right, you can make the light and practice drifting a left turn onto Main St!!
