haha.. best bet is to go to a auto meter dealer, and ask them for advise.. chances are, they'll give you a new one, and send that back.. i dunno.. worth a shot.
LOL, that's good stuff. Same autometer gauge took a dump on me over the weekend. Actually my new one will be here today, so you're not the only one

I went to buy one and it was reading at like 2 psi while in the box.

Can you just remove the cover and reposition the needle on the spindel?
I would still call before doing any opening of the part, but if they don't cover why not just try... what is it going to hurt?

Don’t start this bashing ****!
Autometer makes great stuff for the price and I am sure they will replace your gauge if you have a receipt for it. They will proly replace it even if you don’t have a receipt!

The samething happened over the summer to my Autometer boost gaugee. I took it back to where I bought it with my receipt and they gave me a newone!
You can reposition the needle easily, I've done it. Mine started to read 1-2psi when the car was off, so I just opened it up and repositioned it. Not very hard to do, just be careful with the bezel ring.
haha my piece of **** autometer read 5psi when i first got it. I just took it back and got a VDO boost gauge which has worked flawlessly...and was cheaper.
yeah, they should replace that no problem. I had the electronic fuel pressure gauge that cost $200 and they replaced it no problem...
I worked just fine then all of sudden got stuck at 100psi!

haha, nothing. I didnt' even drop it or anything, I was taking it out of my car and it just did that. I bought it years ago from summit, but I'm going to either call up or email autometer, and if they wont do ****, I'll try opening it up and putting it back on.

My gauge did it too in an accident, popped right off. Ended up giving it to a friend and he actually opened it up and fixed it himself, works like a charm.. go figure
