Default How to make a ZC turbo friendly???

Hey guys. Well I'm heard mixed reviews on this. I've heard that a ZC will blow up if turbo'ed and also that it's safe to turbo a ZC. So What is everyone's experience on this? And also how can you make the ZC turbo friendly??
Thanks for the help guys.

Im running a turbo on my ZC at 5.5 pounds, with nothing done to the engine, only the FPR they supply you with, high octane gas, retarded the timing and colder plugs. I have been running this since the Early Fall without a problem

Yeah, any enigne that you turbocharge will blow up if you don't know what your doing. I boosted a zc with 7-10psi for 2+ years without any trouble at all. Do some research about what your going to do and you will be fine.

DaveP Since you had a turbo ZC, do you think I will run to any problems with my setup? I have been told I will be fine as long as I dont up the boost.

The car moves pretty good, Im sure high 14's in the 1/4mile. 1st gear is insane with the si trans, the tires slid all over, 2nd pulls hard, 3rd still got some juice but 4th is pretty flat.

Would I need to lower my CR?? Or should I just run one but at low boost?

My dad's 90 Civic SiZC is running about 8-10 lbs of boost, non intercooled for the summer months (ran it all this summer) no problems at all. Just know what your doing and you'll be fine. Make sure if your running over 5 you get a different fuel pump and make sure you have a FPR or FMU to make sure your getin fuel in there when boost kicks in. and again, do reasearch and you'll figure it out.

You should be low 14s and high 13s... I ran low 14s with my turbo D16a6.. So you should be able to get lower ETs.
