yes, you would have a mathematically better ratio if the 13" tires have a smaller diameter but it wont necessarily make much of a diffirence. it most likely wont be noticeable.

another thing to keep in mind is that most 13" tires have a smaller contact patch, your acceleration might improve at the cost of your handling. its up to you what is more important.

You have three different things to consider...

1. The overall combination (wheel/tire) weight. Lighter is better not only for acceleration but braking and cornering as well.

2. Overall size...specifically the overall diameter. Not just 13" vs 14", but the size of the sidewall also. And don't forget that sidewall measurements are a ratio...so 50 doesn't necessarily mean less then 60. A smaller overall diameter will effectively change the gearing for more acceleration at the expense of top speed.

3. Traction...the gearing and weight on a 13" may be better, but if the contact patch is not wide enough for effective grip or the tread compound is hard as a rock, the lack of traction matched to better gearing/weight will equal excessive wheel spin. Excessive wheel spin may feel like your accelerating better, but it is slower.

get the vx rims 13" better than 13" stock steelies... lighter and you will feel the difference... great for acceleration IMO.. not a whole lot of grip on corners....

yeah 13s on a b18c1 suck 15s are better...13s felt better but i was just spinning tires. I'm sure a zc would spind 13s pretty easy too.

i suggest 14's, the aftermarket is greater for 14's rather then 13's.

And someday if you upgrade to either EX or integra brakes the 13s wont clear.
