OBD2 Single Cam Swap into an 89 lx. help?
Hey wat's up everybody.
I recently bought an 89 lx which is dpfi and the motor was crappin out on me. I came across a pretty decent d16y7 (obd2 dx motor) and am in the process of installing it into the lx. Now, some problems have arisen.
The main problem now is that the Driver side "post" mount that goes into the block bolts on, but the mount sits very very close to the timing belt. And the one on the block stock is angled differently from that of the d15.
Any ideas? Any experience? foresight?
As far as going dpfi, i'm not entirely sure if i'm going to go that route. I'm almost certain that the intake manifolds are the same and "should" bolt up. at least, the studs suggest that they would. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

you have to switch the mounts on the obd2 block back to the stock mount because they are both different and will not work otherwise. as the the FI put the mpfi on it will make a huge improvment over the dp
i feel you on the mpfi part. as far as the mounts, the stock d15b mount fits on the obd 2 block, but the angle that it sits is really close to the timing belt. like damn near touching it. the stock obd 2 mount on the obd2 block doesn't even seem like it will fit. the angles are off
