Default blurry haze on my headlights

Ive got this kinda blurry haze on my headlights on the exterior, anyone know how i may be able to clear this up? at first i thought it was cuz of the hids heat that used to be behind it but ma boy told me he thinks the temp on hids are lower than standard halogens....da hell can be causing it to haze like that?

Is it the actual headlight assembly that is "hazing" up? Or is it due to the HID conversion? If it's the headlights, then I have a good way of cleaning them up and making them look brand new again. Just let me know.

First thing you need is 2000, 2500 and 3000 grit sandpaper. You'll also need Mothers Mag(or Alloy) Wheel Polish.

Step 1: Wet sand (as in wettting the sandpaper) with 2000 grit sandpaper until you get a hazy finish, it'll look better than when you first wet sanded it, but it still wont look great yet. Let the headlights dry.

Step 2: Repeat Step 1, but this time with 2500 grit sandpaper, the hazing should be going down in severity.

Step 3: Again, some process but with 3000 grit sandpaper, hazing should be even less so now.

Step 4: Use mag wheel polish on wet sanded headlights. I personally polished them over the course of 3 days. However, this really isn't necessary. Polish, dry and repeat until you get the desired effect. If it's not working too well go back and resand with 3000 or even 2500 grit and then try to polish again.

I personally got mine to look like bran new, but it took alot of time and effort. With this process it'll prolly take you about 2-3 hours, but the headlights should look way bettr than before.

there is a much faster and easier way to do this.

If someone can find out the product that they use at the airports to polish the planes windows. That is the best stuff in the world to use to clean them up like new. There was a person on Ebay selling this but would not tell the chemical name. And a friend of mine bought some but it came in a non-labeled bottle.
Doubt they are selling it any more as it is an Illegal chemical to be selling on Ebay as it is flamable until it drys.

If you can get a hold of some of this stuff, its the fix to all the headlight fog.

Best of luck

but using that polish you have to take them apart to do that. So if you feel safe doing that go ahead.

With the Chem. that the airports use you just put some in, swish it around for acouple of min. then clear out let dry.

No dismant. needed.

Good luck

But the haze isnt inside of the headlights, its on the outside...so no need to disassemble it (thank God)....and where can i get some of this stuff your talkin bout? would i be able to find it at a autozone or oreillys?
