H22 w/Bseries tranny........
Earlier today on the CRX forum there was a dude with an H22 in a CRX.
He had custom made a plate that was able to fit a B-series tranny to the H22 block.
Does anyone have any futher info on how to do it?
I was unable to reach this dude at that time so Im just wondering whats up with that.

lemme know if you get a hold of that guy. i wouldnt mind trying to throw a b series tranny on my h22. seems cheaper than the 800 yards are asking for a h22

yeah well try also calculating the cost for custom axles and halfshaft....youll have a lil more than a 800 bill im sure

im pretty sure an LS tranny wouldnt go for 500... hell my friend picked up a GSR tranny, shift linkage and shifter plus shift **** for 300 bucks. that was a steal tho

Are you talking about Bisimoto? He has a CRX and he built a plate, mount and flywheel for d series tranny on a f series motor (which would be the same as an H). I will be buying this kit for my F22B1 into my Civic when it becomes available.
I dought it would be any good to Accord drivers though. The reason I say this is because you would not only need to make a custom adapter plate for the tranny but you would also need custom axles (as stated earlier), custom tranny mount and a custom flywheel to mount to the F/H motor and use the B starter. That is if you meant B series. If you meant D series then you could use part of his kit, the flywheel and plate but would still need custom mount and axles. In addition to either choice you would also need a custom shift lever mount and possibly custom linkage since Civic's don't use cables. IMO I don't think it's worth it in an Accord or Prelude.
But for me, since I already have a d series tranny in my Civic and a F22B1 from my totalled Accord, it make perfect sense. Better gear ratio, more aftermarket support, won't need to cut up body of car to mount shifter assembly, no need for mount kit for motor/tranny, only need to buy this adapter kit, then I can sell all my Accord tranny parts as a 5spd conversion.

last time i boguth a tranny it was 350 for an h23 and 450 for an h22a, while the f22 ones for 250. that was through local salvages yards. the same yards also sold B series cable trannies for 450-600, and B series hydro trannies for 500-750. they know they are in demand and they KNOW they are not made anymore.
iight guys thanks for all the input.
And yes I realize the money needed for such a conversion.
However Im willing to do it just for the simple fact as was stated earlier.....a lot more parts become available when switching over. They dont make **** for the spraylude tranny. And just to add on the simple fact that most of you guys dont even work on trannies as much as your motors. All I hear people talk about in here are cams, Springs, retainers, bore over, P&P, s2s2, ect. ect.
I never hear anyone talk about tranny upgrades that they have done....And jus think that is the bridge between all that horsepower and torque you're trying to achieve and you wheels/
Anyway like I said Im gonna have to do more research on this bseries thing. I want that ITR final drive so badd thats why...haha peace yaw'll.
