I thought it was gonna be a bitch at first. I basically took all the steps really slowly. First I removed ALL of the plastic panels first. Anything that can be taken off, was removed first. I drove the car around like that for a week. During that week, I studied the DIY thread really carefully. I had some questions answered by BallHawk3 (that's his AIM too). For the dash removal, there's one bolt by the 2 bolts(the ones in the center, not the 2 closest to the steering wheel) that hold the whole steering column up...make sure that gets removed. I overlooked that and was sittin there forever trying to figure things out. Other than that the DIY tells you where every other bolt is at. From there I hooked up the vents on the dash. I found it easier to remove the longer heater hose from the engine (not the core), and removing the shorter heater hose from the valve assembly. I had almost no troubles there. But because my EK has A/C, I was scared to unbolt(behind the battery) the A/C core from the dash. So I just took off all of the screws and "wiggled" the heater core and blower motor out. From there I just put things back together. With a few breaks here and there, it took about 4 hours (and that's because 50% of the dash was already dissaembled).
Price wise, eh....I didn't mind it, because I really wanted to do this about 2 years ago. I had everything except for the heater core and blower 2 years ago, but installed everything else. It worked, but couldn't control the heat, nor adjust fan speed. Overall, this cost me about...$250.00. Yes, it's worth it to me. Now my dash is all amber lighting! can't beat that!
