CRV ticking sound -right side
My 2005 CRV has a ticking sound coming the left side of the vehicle. It sounds closer to the front then the rear. I checked the tires for rocks etc. but the noise is still there. My next thought was the drive shaft where it connects to the axle. Anyone with a thought on this? IG

Its only when the car is moving. it seems to increase in intensity, the faster you go. More like a rotating sound. It sounds closer to the lower left front than the engine area. Dont believe its the engine at this time, but Iam going to do some more investigation today. IG
could be cv joint, but usually it wont go from working to clicking overnight unless u did some crazy stuff w/old shocks. Also check and make sure nothing stuck under your car, once I had a stick get stuck between my manifold and left wheel and was making a noise allot like you described.
OK, thanks. I will keep hunting for it. At the present its seems to go off and on. I shall wait for it to get worse or just go away. it changes with the type of pavement which could be something like the stick stuck situation. I will come back when I have more Infro. IG

since it is a 2005 go back to the Dealer and get it warranty...and let them know there re 2 bulletion for the car but not sure it applies to the 2005 but does for 2002-2004 ....shock mounts are not fully tighten from factory slightly loose...also tranny mount to close to trans and throught drivving and vibration trans and mount will rub or start hitting making noise...thats all i can remeber from the Honda Service....
