Default Jello CRX 1.6-I16

My 91 CRX 1.6-I16 makes way to much chassis noise. It’s only got 110,000 kms and it’s in great condition, but the freaking body makes so much noise on uneven surfaces it feels older than it should. It just seams like the structure flexes too much, and everything inside rubs and makes noise. Any ideas on how to quite it down? Would a new hatch seal help?

Thanks,
Adam

I think i know what u mean... When you go on kinda uneven surfaces, the car's frame/chassis will sort of twist right? it sounds like metal getting bent?... hey, our cars are 14 yo + so... you know. They are OLD. Happens to mine when u get on an uneven ramp or whatever... just avoid them...

Ok, so a strut brace would help. There's not much I can do with the rest of the car though. I heard of a foam that can be "injected" between the sheet metal and interior panels so as to dampen movement and noises. Has anyone tried this?

I used to drive an 87 924S which was much stiffer (ergo, heavier) and was much more silent. Even my dad's beat up 93 Legacy is better in this sense. I guess there's only so much you can do with steel in terms of stiffness, if you're aiming for 900 kgs. The Porsche weighed something like 1400 kgs.

Thanks for the replays.
