loud clicking noise, anybody know what it could be?

Default loud clicking noise, anybody know what it could be?

just swapped a new block in, when I started it up there was a loud clicking, worse than worn lifters cant figure it out. It also Idles at 3000rpm with throttle cable loose????

Your pistons are loose. You should open your block and tighten the pistons, my friend had that same problem. I bet you just bought the car like that.

Pistons are loose?

What did you do to the block?? Rebuild? 1st time start up? Lound knocking from the bottom end could be a number of things, maybe its a spun bearing.

Could be a spun bearing, what you may be hearing is the rod smacking around in there. Where did you get the block from? Did you do anything to it before you put it in?

did you do the work? where did the new block come from? you should go back where you bought that new block and get a replacements...
