92 Accord - Oil Soaked Spark Plugs??
92 Accord, 137k miles - I replaced all of the valve cover seals when I did the timing belt at 100k miles, so I really doubt that's what the problem is. It's also all 4 plugs, not just one or 2. I guess I could've gotten defective seals and they've been leaking all along though?? (I honestly haven't looked at the plugs in a while)
I don't think my car smokes though?? I'll have to get my wife to follow behind and tell me if it does...
I'm sure that my valves need to be a adjusted (I've got one that's fairly loud). Could that be it?
It's failing low speed emissions (HC) right now too...maybe this is the problem...
Other ideas?
Thanks!

then you need to recheck your valve cover.
for some reason it is not sealing. Could be that its loose, the seats are not right, or could just be from no seal there at all. I use a little Permatex Hi-tac when I put on those O ring seats. Helps keep them in place when installing and keeps them from shifting too much.
Lithgt coat like a dusting, then wait about 2 min, place on, then lower valve cover to seat it. patern bolts till reach tork on all four.
Good luck

Some accords (not sure which years) had ANOTHER seal in the spark plug tubes. If you take off your valve cover, look to see if the spark plug hole is part of the camshaft bearing cap. If so, there's an O-ring down where the cap seats on the head.
If that's what's leaking, you'll have to go thru the motions as if you're R&R the camshaft. Looks easy, but be carefull about torquing sequences...

maybe he meant item 19 on this link/diagramhttp://www.hondaautomotivepart...+HEAD. O-rings. I think mine needs new o-rings as oil seems to get inside the spark plug areas. I notice that I have more oil on number 1 spark plug and I figure it must come from when I get sloppy adding oil at oil change, that oil spilled and ran/settled into #1 sparkplug hole.
