shifter falls out of car
i have a 91 crx with a zc and si trans my shifter fell out onto the ground while driving i replaced the shifter bushings with energy suspenions worked like a charm for about two weeks and it did it again i ripped the back bushing in half does anyone know what could be causing this to happen i'm thinking about switching to the b&m meatl bushings but would like to fix this problem before hand and just for added in put my shifter moves about an inch when i accelerate
if your shifter moves that much, i'd say your motor mounts are shot.
did you lube the bushing before installing it? i dont see how you can rip a urethane bushing tho.
besides therse a metal plate that goes under it so even if your shifter bushing tor out completely that plate shoulda held the shifter up.

the first time the metal rod the slides inot the bushing ripped out of the bushing an thats exactly what happend this time but the bushing i copleatly torn on the hump of the bushing but the bushing and the metal peice that holds it on are still where they should be
